The Galt Museum & Archives is a community gathering place where people from all walks of life and corners of the globe meet to learn more about the people of Lethbridge and southwestern Alberta.

Discover southwestern Alberta and the Kainai people in our interactive Discovery Hall with permanent and temporary exhibits.  The stunning Viewing Gallery overlooks the Oldman River valley and Indian Battle Park – enjoy a locally roasted coffee while you observe the High Level Bridge or try to spot a pelican.  The viewing gallery has become a favourite place for wedding receptions and other gatherings!

The original 1910 Galt Hospital wing houses the Education Centre - agreat place for a business meeting - with programs for all ages.  Ask about our backpack and treasure hunt programs, downtown and cemetery tours, and don’t miss the Museum Store with one-of-a-kind quality gifts and mementos of the area... Think Gift. Think Galt! 

Our outdoor spaces include a patio, brick and sculpture garden, native plant garden and access to the parks and walking paths of the valley.
