Thanks to the City of Lethbridge's Downtown Redevelopment Steering Committee (DRSC) for providing the funding for new Christmas lighting in Galt Gardens Park.
The new lights were recently installed in various locations throughout the park, however the central feature is located on the south east corner in the Rotary Centennial Plaza area.
The impressive lighting displays have helped to continue focus attention on beautiful Galt Gardens Park. Since the opening of the Rotary Centennial water feature in June, more and more people have taken the opportunity to visit and appreciate the park. We're already looking forward to the re-opening of the water feature next Spring.
Although this incredible park has been underutilized for many years, this and other initiatives, through the 'Heart of Our City' Master plan, are aimed at bringing more life back to the park.
If you haven't taken the opportunity to visit the downtown this year, we urge you take the time to walk through the park and experience the beautiful Christmas lights.
