Garet Burton, another one of our 2025 Downtown Ambassadors!

After an impactful year as our Administrative Coordinator, Garet has stepped into a more public-facing role this year, bringing his energy, enthusiasm, and people-first attitude to the streets of downtown Lethbridge as an Ambassador! Garet is now actively engaging with businesses, community members, and visitors, helping to foster a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere in our downtown core.

Garet brings a strong financial foundation from his background as a banker and advisor, which continues to inform his thoughtful approach to problem-solving and community support. Currently, pursuing his accounting degree at the University of Lethbridge with plans to earn his CPA designation.

Born in Calgary and raised in Lethbridge, Garet's love for our city runs deep. Whether volunteering, networking, or just chatting with local business owners, Garet is driven by a strong connection to the community and his vision for a thriving, inclusive downtown.

When he's not busy representing the BRZ, you can catch Garet enjoying one of his many hobbies, including softball, golf, dancing, snowboarding, and hockey.

Known for his friendly personality and love for conversation, Garet is always happy to stop for a chat. You'll often find him around downtown, at local events, or welcoming visitors to the BRZ office!

So, next time you spot him in the wild with a clipboard in hand and mid-conversation, don't hesitate to say hello (just be prepared to stay a few minutes).
