What is the Heart of Our City Committee?
The Heart of Our City Committee (HOC) is a volunteer-based committee formed of stakeholders in the downtown area and of various community organizations. One committee member is appointed from the Downtown Lethbridge BRZ board.
The purpose of this committee is to champion Downtown Lethbridge through the implementation of the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan/Municipal Development Plan, the Heart of Our City Master Plan, the Downtown Area Redevelopment Plan, and to provide strategic leadership in accordance with City Councils Strategic Plan.

Duties & Responsibilities of HOC
The Committee monitors planning and development activities, prepares and monitors Heart of Our City Fund budget, monitor and approve the grant process for downtown events, make recommendations to the various committees as mentioned above.
The committee meets on a monthly basis.
HOC Master Plan
The Heart of Our City Master Plan is a long-term project to revitalize Downtown Lethbridge. The plan provides a framework to guide public improvements, private development and ensures a vibrant and economically viable downtown.
